The Exhibits and Stories at the Sigal Museum
Telling the stories of the region from pre-Northampton County to the present day, the museum experience is self-guided and enjoyed by visitors of all ages. Docents are on duty to accompany visitors by request.
The Sigal Museum showcases artifacts from the prominent collection maintained since 1906 by the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society. The rich holdings of NCHGS span centuries: from the stone tools used by local Native Americans, documents from the Great Treaty of 1758, items belonging to the earliest European settlers, agricultural tools and home furnishings used by the Pennsylvania Germans, uniforms, weapons, and documents from important battles, many works of skilled craftsmen, the fine arts, costumes, textiles, and photography.
